SvenskaLU-VE Nordic (with the companies LU-VE Sweden AB and Fincoil LU-VE Oy) is part of the global LU-VE Group, a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers for cooling applications in commercial and industrial refrigeration, process industry, and data centers. With extensive logistics operations, LU-VE Nordic constantly needs efficient transport solutions. A year ago, they started a collaboration with TKL Logistics to gain better control and smoother handling of their transports.
Challenges in Logistics
Transport and logistics management within LU-VE Nordic involves significant challenges. The products are often custom-made and vary in size, making each transport unique. Communication and coordination between different parties – customers, transport companies, and internal departments – are crucial for everything to run smoothly.
“We produce special products, they are not standardized in any way. Each delivery is a unique case, and we have to consider many different factors to carry out the transports correctly,” says Sammo Niemisalo, Logistics Manager at Fincoil LU-VE.

Before the collaboration with TKL, LU-VE Sweden had a local shipping solution that eventually could not meet the growing needs in the Nordic region. LU-VE Nordic needed a Nordic solution with continued personal service but with new technical solutions.
“We quickly realized that our existing supplier would not be able to meet our needs. Through recommendations from former colleagues, we got in touch with TKL, and after a short evaluation, we felt they were the right partner for us,” says Peter Hägerström, Operations Manager at LU-VE Nordic.

Since LU-VE Nordic started using TKL Dispatch (TKL Logistics’ customer portal), they have gained a more structured and clear handling of their transports. They can now easily compare different transport options, manage bookings, and track their deliveries in real-time.
“Previously, there was a lot of manual handling and we lacked visual control. Now everything is gathered in one system, which has made it easier to plan and administer the transports. It is a strength – one platform, one system, all information. It is easier for us to produce CO2 reports, and we know we can always turn to TKL for quick answers,” says Peter Hägerström.

For the team in Finland, TKL Dispatch has facilitated both transport management and reporting.
“The portal is clear and simple. You quickly get an overview – whatever you need, just go in and check – everything is in one place. For CO2 reporting, it is also a good tool, you get good statistics included, both for CO2 and for deliveries,” says Heidi Kimmo, Customer Service Manager – LU-VE Nordic.
Personal Service and Flexibility
One of the great strengths of the collaboration with TKL has been the personal service. LU-VE Nordic emphasizes the importance of having a partner who is always available when needed.
“At TKL, we as customers are never anonymous, it is important for us to have a partner where we are seen, heard, and get responses. Everyone can offer a fully automated standard flow, but when something happens, I want to be able to call someone who helps me. That is where TKL differs from others,” says Peter Hägerström.
Katri Laakso, Shipping/Logistics, Fincoil LU-VE, agrees.
“If questions arise or if something goes wrong, we can always contact someone and get answers. The quick response time has been positive from the start.”
The availability from TKL was also reflected during the onboarding period. Heidi Kimmo describes:
“No one likes change, but we were very well taken care of from the start. Everything went smoothly thanks to TKL being available, always stepping up, and having proactive reviews with us and instructing us on everything in the portal. When we had certain development requests, they were quickly fixed.“
A Bright Future for the Collaboration
LU-VE Nordic looks forward to further developing the collaboration with TKL and exploring new opportunities to streamline logistics even more.
“We want to deepen the collaboration even more. TKL gives us more time to focus on what we do best. Already now, I think we have a good cooperation and discussion relationship, but of course, you can always get better. During this journey, we have improved our own flows, even though we still need TKL’s expertise,” says Heidi Kimmo.
