Reduced PSS Levels from the Far East

Sea freight rates from the Far East continues to fall. This allows us to once again lower our Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for sea transports from the Far East, this time starting from ETD on October 8. We will continue to keep you informed of any changes going forward.

New PSS Levels:

  • Sea: USD60w/m for LCL, USD1600/20’ and USD2450/40’ for FCL.
  • Train: USD120w/m for LCL and USD3500/40HC for FCL (effective from ETD October 1).

Our primary focus is to ensure that your cargo departs as quickly as possible when it is ready for transport. In some cases, this may mean considering alternative solutions outside of the offered freight terms, which in turn may affect the cost structure.

Port Strike on the US East and Gulf Coasts

The main agreement between the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) and the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) expired on September 30, 2024. So far, no new agreement has been reached, and therefore the strike became a reality on October 1. This means we can expect significant disruptions for both import and export on the US market. Furthermore, we have been notified by shipping lines that they will be implementing surcharges of various degrees.

Unfortunately, we will need to pass these costs on to our customers. We are committed to minimizing the impact on your business, and we will strive to keep you updated with new information as it becomes available.

If you have any questions, comments, or need assistance in planning your shipments, do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help you navigate through all types of logistical challenges.

Thank you very much for your support!
