Shipping lines initially aimed to increase prices at the beginning of March, but the result was quite the opposite. This allows us to reduce our Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for ocean freight from the Far East, effective from ETD March 3. We will keep you updated on any further changes or updates.
Reduced PSS Levels:
- USD 40 per w/m for LCL and USD 1050 per 20’ and USD 1550 per 40’ for FCL.
We always prioritize ensuring a swift and efficient transport of your cargo as soon as it is ready for loading. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to consider alternative solutions outside the usual freight terms, which could impact cost structures.
Challenges in Continental Ports
In recent times, Europe’s transshipment ports have faced significant challenges. Increased import volumes from Asia, combined with sporadic port strikes, adverse weather conditions, and new shipping alliances, are the main reasons. Reports indicate lower incoming volumes from Asia to Europe following the Chinese New Year, which should ease the pressure soon.
If you have any questions or concerns, you are always more than welcome to reach out. We are doing our best to resolve any issues together with you.
A big thank you for your support!
